Join our dynamic Material Handling Company as we expand and innovate in the industry. Operating from our workshop, you'll embark on a diverse and engaging role that encompasses servicing, preventative maintenance, and repair work for both internal and client-owned equipment. With a focus on both IC powered and electric machinery, your responsibilities will include diagnosing issues and executing necessary repairs to uphold operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs on both company-owned and customer forklift trucks, prioritizing minimizing unscheduled repairs.
- Conduct Thorough Examination Inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Overhaul used equipment for resale, including painting and refurbishment.
- Execute pre-hire and post-hire checks efficiently.
- Provide support to site engineers as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation adhering to company standards.
- Uphold strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
- Utilize computer skills for efficient record-keeping and communication.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Comprehensive mechanical and electrical expertise, with a proficiency in diagnosis and repair.
- Completion of a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications such as C & G level 2 & 3.
- Previous experience in a similar role is crucial.
- Familiarity with hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and clear client interaction.
- Demonstrated flexibility and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Possession of a valid driving license and a complete toolkit.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
