What will the apprentice be doing on site
We are currently looking for an apprentice Formworker working on a large redevelopment site in Barking.Formwork is used to form concrete structures across the entire infrastructure, from constructing roads, rail, bridges and underground structures to high-rise concrete buildings. A formworker contributes to the construction of projects through the preparation, installation and quality management of all stages of the formwork and falsework process. As an apprentice, you’ll train in the preparation of falsework that provides temporary support structures for forms, and undertake formwork. This includes producing panels and fittings that mould to form a desired shape with concrete, such as slabs, support beams, columns and walls. You’ll be able to work in the entire envelope of the construction industry. The skills you’ll gain through this formworker apprenticeship can be used worldwide and can also be a stepping stone for supervisory and management roles.
What will your typical day look like?
Forming timber to the correct requirements and shape or cutting materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
Assembling and fastening materials to make framework, falsework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails or pins.
Building, repairing and assembling formworks and falsework structures.
Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Interpreting verbal and written instructions and information.
Working safely at heights.
Weekly Pay - £256
Are there restrictions
The successful candidate will be required to pass a drugs and alcohol test.Due to local planning requirements, applications can only be considered from residents of postal areas RM6, RM8, RM9, RM10, IG11
The apprentice will need
The apprentice will need a CSCS card before starting onsite. Assistance will be given by TrAC in achieving this.What sort of candidate are you looking for

Construction workers tend to start early in the morning, the ability to independently get to site is a must, however it is not essential that you drive.Qualifications Required
