Overview

Main Purpose:

Due to strong growth in the India beverage business, PGCS is seeking a finance analyst to join the India concentrate finance team.  This position will act as finance lead in the construction of a new manufacturing plant while ensuring adequate supply of concentrate for the business during the construction phase. The position will champion strong growth through key strategic initiatives and partnership with PGCS cross functional and Sector teams

Responsibilities

Principle Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the planning, forecasting and actuals reporting relating to the construction of new concentrate manufacturing plant.
  • Work closely with Engineering Quantity Surveyor/ Engineering Manager provide guidance on treatment of costs, manage capital budget and support in the resolution of queries.
  • Lead collation on Project Spend and phasing - submit to India BU & Sector FP&A on quarterly basis.
  • Undertake lead role in all local GST and tax requirements ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Lead role in development of cost effective BCP workstreams, through engagement with supply chain and operations functional leads.
  • Liaise with local and central supply chain, undertake lead role in planning and forecasting of concentrate imports, ensuring all costs relating to importation are captured and tracked.
  • Provide timely insights to budget holders and initiate actions to mitigate risks and drive opportunities.
  • Liaise with Singapore and Cork finance on intercompany Balance Sheet and P&L impacts, lead discussion on any intercompany profit eliminations.
  • Ensure all aspects of GCS (Global Control Standards) are adhered to throughout the reporting process, including balance sheet reconciliations on blackline reporting system
  • Finance lead for new plant once operational covering planning, forecasting and actuals reporting of plant operating spend.
Qualifications

Qualifications and/or experience:

  • Strong track record of forecasting and planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong collaboration, communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation are key to success in this role for balancing business needs while maintaining strong controls.
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Chartered accountant qualification and Degree with a Business or accounting with 6 years+ PQE (ideally in a multinational manufacturing environment).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge is a must.
  • Demonstrate a strategic mindset, with an ability to take into consideration the “bigger picture”.
  • Proven track record in applying business judgment, through experience and insights gained in large projects and through the analysis of issues from a business logic perspective.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines, while at the same time displaying good judgement and business decision making skills.
  • Driven to deliver productivity, and process improvements while continuing to apply strategic perspective.
  • Experience in leading project teams from a planning and team leadership perspective, including a demonstrated ability of setting the agenda.
