Responsibilities

• To monitor and administrate freight collections and deliveries, plus manage on the road transport operations to ensure successful completion.
• Liaise with customers on a regular basis to monitor and process consignments and solve any operational problems.
• Keep internal communications with other DHL Freight partner as necessary.
• Process, maintain and update data on company systems.
• Ensure shipping process is carried out in line with the company's processes and quality procedures.
• Prepare required paperwork for Suppliers expert user in house TMS systems (full training provided)
• Planning of Export linehaul

Profile

• Good organizational, IT and communication skills.
• Intermediate use of MS Office Packages - preferred
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods - desired
• Ability to focus on identifying and meeting customer's needs (internal and external)
• Ability to think and act across boundaries ( e.g between processes and departments)
• Contributes new ideas and is happy to challenge the status quo.
• Challenges self to continually improve in role.
• Good communication skills both individually and to internal/external customers
• Be aware of Health and Safety standards, along with a high understanding of dignity and diversity in the workplace.
• Have a methodical and organised approach to work with the ability to think ahead and prioritise tasks.
• One year Logistics office experience preferred
• Knowledge of UK/European road transport geography preferred
• Numeracy and literacy skills essential
• Some warehouse interaction required
