SalaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator to join our client, a UK Freight and Logistics company based in Hertfordshire.
Duties include day to day Air freight and Road freight operations and all of the related administration. The Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator will also build relationships with existing clients and deliver a high standard of customer care at all times.
You will monitor shipments, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during transit to minimize disruptions.
You will also manage relationships with carriers and suppliers, negotiating rates and contracts to achieve optimal service levels.
Main duties of the Freight Forwarding Coordinator:
- Managing the day to day export and import bookings of Air Freight & European road freight shipments.
- Raising job files and all of the appropriate paperwork.
- Raising / processing the necessary customs clearance.
- Processing the jobs utilising the Azyra software system.
- Extensive client liaison both written (email) and verbal (telephone).
- Extensive supplier liaison and negotiation.
- Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service status information.
- Invoicing jobs on completion.
To be a successful Freight Forwarding Operations Coordinator, you need to have previous experience in Air and / or European Road Freight.
