Freight Sales Executive

Reed are now supporting on a Sales Executive job for an International Freight Forwarder with offices across the UK.  This is to focus on Air and Ocean Freight Sales so you will already have a proven background in this in order to be considered for interview.

Some office attendance will be required, more so in the beginning few weeks to embed you into the company and surrounding teams, you will live in the South of the country in order to access one of the offices and surrounding clients.

This Sales Executive job will obviously require frequent travel across the region, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, a £5k car allowance is available (paid monthly). DBS will need to be applied for also, this is paid for by the company.

As the Freight Forwarding Sales Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting, engaging and closing new accounts, along with building and maintaining relationships with your customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily focus on the development of new air and ocean freight customers.
• Produce quality targets and strong business opportunities.
• Develop quotes and proposals for current and prospective customers.
• Manage relationships with and grow sales in existing customers.
• Maintain a clear, clean, updated sales pipeline report.
• Work with minimal supervision and remain focused on conducting your job successfully.
• Meet or exceed sales goals (for new and existing business
• Set goals for prospecting and selling activity on a weekly basis.

Requirements

At least 2 years in a similar role with the focus being air or sea freight

Clear, concise and confident communication

Strong planning with the ability to identify sales opportunities while maximising all existing business

Experience in a multimodal freight business

Full UK Driving licence and access to a vehicle
