Medtronic Digital Technologies is seeking a talented and motivated Front-End Developer to join our Front-End Team. We are 7 person team working across multiple aspects of the Touch Surgery Ecosystem where Surgeons can review their surgical video uploaded from the OR, gain the insights provided by our AI algorithms, annotate the video and share it with colleagues as well as our Annotation Platform which is used to help create and manage the data used to train those algorithms by easily allowing teams to annotate phases, anatomy and instrumentation within surgical videos and manage the models applied to different procedures.
We don’t work as a siloed Front-End team and we believe very strongly in collaboration with our colleagues from different disciplines. Day to day you would be working in a cross-functional team organised to tackle a specific area of the business alongside colleagues representing Design/Product/Back End/Android/iOS/Test/Data Science/AI and many others depending on the requirements.
- We work primarily with React & Redux, following Functional Programming principles.
- We are using TypeScript.
- We believe heavily in Responsive Design and Atomic Design Principles.
- We have a whole team approach to testing and always strive to have good test coverage (we write unit tests with React Test Library and UI Automation tests with Cucumber).
- We work in 2-week sprints with the usual Scrum Ceremonies and try to be as iterative as possible.
- Experience of JavaScript and modern web technologies.
- Experience of React & Redux.
- Experience in a professional environment working with Agile methodologies and Scrum Ceremonies.
- An understanding of Responsive Design and Atomic Design Principles
- A collaborative nature and to be open to other ideas and approaches.
- A desire to learn new things.
- Experience working with a video platform.
- Experience of TypeScript.
- Experience with video streaming, remote conferencing technology.
- Experience with some of our other tools like React Testing Library, Cucumber, Webpack, Storybook, WebDriver IO.
- Experience with Functional Programming
