The Role

As Front of House you will play a crucial role at MVF ensuring that all spaces come to life and provide a world class workplace experience for everyone who walks through our doors. At MVF we work in a hybrid way so you will enable our people to work effectively wherever they are. You will help manage our facilities and workplace in our headquarters, Wenlock Works, London.


What you’ll be doing

  • Part of your role will be our superstar Receptionist, the first face people see when they walk into our offices.
  • Work with our Office Operations Manager to make sure all of our spaces are engaging and inclusive. Assist with design projects; planning and facilitating workshops and working with stakeholders to gather feedback and implement improvements throughout all spaces.
  • Create, implement and maintain a best practice approach to Facilities that is in keeping with MVF culture and consistent with compliance.
  • Direct, coordinate and plan essential services such as, maintenance, supplier contracts, mail, archiving company documents and cleaning in order to keep our sites running smoothly and efficiently at all times so our employees can do their best work.
  • Work with Officer Operations Manager to ensure our spaces meet Environment, Health and Safety requirements and that facilities comply with relevant legislation (working with Legal and Compliance and any external consultants that are necessary to contract with on behalf of MVF) so that all employees, contractors and guests are working in a safe, healthy environment at all sites at all times.
  • Help when required to project manage, supervise and coordinate the work of facilities contractors so that all work is completed effectively, efficiently and to the high standard MVF expects. Working closely with the Office Operations Mananger.
  • Be trained in DSE, Display Screen Equipment, process.
  • Organise contractors e.g. maintenance, plumbers, electricians when needed to ensure that MVF offices are not lacking necessary facilities for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work with Office Operations Manager to create and regularly report on SLAs around reported faults to time to repair (MVF responsibility and Landlords responsibility), and any issues with cleaning or other contractors.
  • Work with the Chief People Officer and Office Operations Manager as the representative on the Employee Engagement Committee overseeing all Space objectives and the delivery of them.
  • Manage fire safety and health and safety practices in all workspaces, including: annual training of volunteers MVFers; health and safety and fire risk assessments, creating and executing action plans in response to assessments, collaborating with Compliance to stay up to date on all HSE and legislation changes. Ensure the health and safety for all employees and visitors to MVF is of a world class standard.
  • Act as the point of contact for US Facilities Management, meeting regularly to offer advice and support with US office related projects.
  • Work with the People Team on sustainability and building management to create targets around reducing business waste streams creating greener business processes. Plan events and initiatives and build a shareable content archive to inspire MVFers to live in a more sustainable way. Once established report on sustainability targets.
  • Help run business update Town Halls, coordination between teams.
  • Help run ad hoc events for the Senior Exec Board.

  • Being on top of all the ordering and space needs, coffees, breakfasts etc
  • Being on top of our reporting needs, including all ESG reporting.
  • Participation in the relevant committees to drive improvement in Facilities and Space such that it increases employee engagement.
  • MVF is fully compliant in all aspects of Facilities Management including but not limited to Health and Safety, Mechanical and Engineering, Security, Utilities and Machinery contracts.
