Job Title:Front of House Lodging Manager (Residential)

Pay Band: EO

Post Type: Permanent

Location: Radyr, Cardiff. This is a residential post where live-in accommodation will be provided at a cost of 8.5% of the basic salary. You are expected to work as many hours as necessary when Judges are in residence including evenings Sunday to Thursday; and provide a 9 – 5 on site presence when not in residence.

“All hours” staff are awarded extra duty allowance based on the number of weeks judges are in residence at the site. Please see the attached “Supporting Information” document for details of the allowance.

Overview

The Property Directorate mission is to ensure the provision of all property services necessary to enable the delivery of HMCTS objectives. Property is core to HMCTS providing the facilities through which we can fulfil our obligations, and aspirations. we have embarked on a transformation of our estate to make our facilities not only fit for purpose, but enablers of our vision for the future. Property Directorate has capability in the areas of strategy, capital project delivery, asset management and facilities management to deliver the service we need.

The key purpose of the role

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a home from home service to the Judiciary when they are out on Circuit. You will manage the chef in the smooth running of the lodgings. All purchases made with the Government Purchase Card (GPC) to be accurately accounted for and within your level of financial authority. You will act as Front of House meeting and greeting Judges, their guests, and clerks, serving at table and making sure the rooms are serviced.
