TQR Exeter are seeking an experienced Front of House Supervisor for a well-known hotel on the Cornish coast.
Couples applications are welcome, there are other roles such as Kitchen Porter, chef, Receptionist and Food & Beverage staff.
Located close to Sennen Cove, this is a popular destination point for tourists and locals. We are looking for someone with senior Food & Beverage experience within a hotel/restaurant setting.
Your role is to support the General Manager and step up in their absense.

This is a hands-on role in which you will be responsible for the training, development & welfare of the team. You are accountable for the health & safety within the building ensuring it is a safe place to visit, eat & work. The shift manager is responsible for inspiring the team to create a profitable yet memorable experience or visitors & guests.
The role would ideally suit someone with a background as a supervisor of a medium sized hotel or restaurant with strong people-management skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of food & beverages to all guests.
- Be responsible for all departments adhering to health & safety policies including COSHH.
- Manage & maintain correct staffing levels to ensure customer satisfaction & profitability.
- Ensure all new starters have received the relevant training.
- Support, develop, train & maintain regular communication with all team members.
- Create a positive environment & culture through constant communication & reinforcement.
- Maintain stock control, quality, and ordering.
- Check customer identification to confirm legal drinking age.
- Endeavor to know the regular customers by name and drinks.
- Wait tables and serve at the bar.
- Table check-backs.
- Help with cleaning jobs.
- Lead and inspire by example.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete training programs as set out in HAL policies & ensure all training is documented in the training matrixes.
- Adhere to the appropriate branding & that are cohesive with other promotional materials.
- Write specials that are accurate, costed & appropriate for the day & season.
- Hold & document staff meetings & staff reviews in the absence of the General Manager.
