FTTP Area Manager- Service Delivery

We are excited to announce we are actively seeking FTTP Area Manager in the Service Delivery department. The position will be covering South Yorkshire, field-based travelling to required sites in the area.

Salary- £37,000

Working Hours- Between 8:00am- 20:00pm (Monday- Friday)

As the FTTP Area Manager, you will be responsible for a team of engineers providing leadership, support, direction, and feedback for their role. Managing the local area ensuring Service Delivery targets are achieved.

Your role will include:

-Managing the team within budget constraints and seeks every opportunity to reduce cost and maximise bottom line revenue growth.

-Ensure all team members are skilled, kitted and accredited to the standards expected by the client.

-Manages the performance and the continuous improvement of team members through development, recognition, effective communications, field visits and FPQ checks.

-Ensures that each team member is aware of the team, their individual targets and is committed to playing a full part in achieving them.

 Technical Expertise & Service Delivery

-Identifies opportunities for multi skilling and cross project working on the patch to help deliver the most efficient and effective field structure across MJ Quinn.

-Seeks every opportunity to reduce cost and maximise bottom line revenue growth.

-Ensures safety and quality checks are carried out in accordance with MJ Quinn policy.

 Internal/ External Partnerships

-Develops and sustains a strong working relationship with the client’s local operational teams encouraging collaboration and best practice.

-Works closely with the Operational Support Teams to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

-Attends operational review meetings with clients and General Managers as required.

 Experience

-Managerial experience in a similar role (Telecommunications industry)

-Holding a full clean UK driving license

-Computer literate

-Ability to communicate effectively with clients

-Willing to Undertake relevant training and development

 Desirables:

  • Telecoms experience
  • Managerial/supervisor experience
  • Knowledge of the BT network
  • Understanding of the Fibre network
  • Full UK driver’s license
  • FTTP Knowledge
