Full Time Production Assistant - Embroidery

The Stevenson Group’s Production department is one of the newest departments to be formed but one of the fastest growing in the company. We are currently looking for the right candidates to join our print section and help progress and grow the department further. We currently have two vinyl cutters, a full colour vinyl printer, 5 on site heat presses and are looking at investing in a direct-to-garment printer.

The main purpose of this role is to work as part of our in-house embroidery team or part of our print team, to complete retail and wholesale orders for primarily schoolwear and sportswear garments.

Primary responsibilities:

Preparing for embroidery including removing packaging, framing garments, changing thread colours and loading designs
Setting up and monitoring the embroidery process on your machine
Finishing garments including removing any production marks and preparing orders for dispatch to customers
Performing regular machine and inventory inspections and reporting any issues
Printing of garments using our in house printing equipment and cutters
Keeping track of work orders and updating records
Helping to ensure that the department is kept clean and tidy
Any other reasonable duties as required by management

A successful applicant should have:

Experience in embroidery and/or design software is advantageous but not essential as full training on our models/versions is provided
Enthusiasm for developing process and product knowledge
High levels of concentration
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication and organisational skills
Confidence using IT and using/learning basic production software

Salary: £11.25-£11.75 per hour
