Working from home you will support apprenticeship learns who require a Functional Skills qualification ensuring mandatory progress and achievements in Functional Skills English and Mathematics are completed in a timely manner.
Typical tasks will including conducting monthly interventions, monitor progress, set action plans. You will offer pastoral support and mentorship to your caseload of learners as well as report on any at risk learners.
As well as passion for supporting others you will also be energetics, calm under pressure, eagerness to learn and an ability to motivate and encourage others.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Post 16 tutor qualification such as PTTLS, AET, Certificate in Education or PGCE.
- Past experience delivering Functional Skills English and Mathematics
- Strong communicator
- Adaptable
- Organised
- Understanding of the Functional Skills assessment process
- Past experience with learning management system is highly desirable
The salary and benefits for this role include £28,000 per year, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension and training and qualification opportunities.
The role will be predominantly based from home but may need occasional site visits to support certain learners.
This role will require candidates to undergo a DBS check.
