To plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate effective teaching and learning to learners’ using a variety of teaching methods and online technology.

Main duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare training sessions and resources to meet learners’ needs e.g. session/lesson plans, handouts, tasks and activities.
- Manage the first six weeks of a learner journey to ensure commitment and sufficient progress is being made against agreed standards.
- Ensure that the learning environment and teaching resources support learner needs.
- Carry out training needs analysis with learners to inform a plan of training.
- Deliver high quality teaching via online classrooms (e.g. E-learning and webinar) and formal classroom based face to face sessions to learners from a range of backgrounds, abilities and ages.
- Support and coach learners using learning technologies to deliver Functional Skills.
- Carry out a pastoral role as a personal tutor to learners.
- To plan, support and facilitate learners to participate in extra curriculum learning in key areas that supports learning beyond the vocational content of their programmes.
- Conduct tutorials on a one-to-one basis with learners.
- Plan additional support for learners.
- Where applicable, monitor, assess and mark learners’ work.
- To be responsible for and effectively manage a caseload/cohort of learners, ensuring performance targets are achieved and ensuring learners complete their qualification within agreed timescales.
- Complete detailed and effective planning and provide learners with developmental constructive feedback.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning sessions, training programmes and learning outcomes, contributing to continually raising the standards of teaching to all learners.
- Maintain appropriate records of learners’ development.
- Where applicable, set and oversee examinations and liaise with awarding organisations to ensure quality standards are met.
- Provide appropriate ongoing advice and guidance to learners and employers within remit of own role.

Pay: £28,000.00 per year
