Position: Fund Accountant
Industry - Private Equity
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
Location - London (Hybrid)
The Opportunity: One of London's most prominent and exciting Private Equity firms are looking to hire a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their team in the West End. The purpose of this role is to assist the fund team in driving efficiency within the fund financial reporting and operations of the firm's strategies and goals. This role is best suited for a newly qualified accountant from a top accountancy firm who has focused on Financial Services.
Fund Accountant Duties:
- Liaise and collaborate effectively with both the investment and portfolio teams.
- Assist with deal processes, fund cash forecasting and fund modelling
- Assist with the preparation of fund regulatory/tax reports.
- Improve process and efficiency gains within the funds team through identification of
- SOI reconciliations for the various annual reports.
- Contribute towards the creation, audit process and publication of the firm's annual reports.
- Efficiently structure and record all of the firm's investment transactions.
- Ensure both the regulatory and accounting standards of the firm are continuously monitored.
Fund Accountant Profile:
- Newly Qualified in an accounting qualification from a reputable accountancy firm having focused on financial services (ACA desired).
- Newly Qualified from a relevant industry will also be considered.
- Solid understanding of fund structures.
- Reasonable knowledge of underlying asset classes.
- Strong knowledge of fund sporting standards - UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
- Excellent organisational skills.
The successful candidate will be paid in between £55,000 - £65,000 alongside a variety of perks and benefits including a healthy bonus, medical/dental insurance, pension contribution and more.
