We are thrilled to be looking for an amazing Philanthropy manager to fill a brand-new role at the incredible BBC Media Action. This is the BBC’s International charity, which uses media and communications to help individuals in some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable countries. Their projects and programmes save lives, protect livelihoods and counter misinformation, amongst many other things – the scope of their work is fascinating.
This brand-new role will identify, cultivate, secure and steward major gifts from existing and prospective donors across both the UK and global markets, with a focus on securing unrestricted or semi-restricted funding for the charity. You will be building and fostering strong personal relationships with philanthropic donors, providing excellent stewardship, and will work closely with BBC Media Action’s leadership team & trustees, as well as the wider BBC.
This is a really exciting time to join BBC Media Action as they embark on a new challenge, with a lot of investment and focus on developing new income strategies, presenting the opportunity to make a real impact.
To be ana amazing Philanthropy Manager, you will need:
- A track record of securing five to six figure gifts
- Demonstrable experience working in a fundraising environment and a track record of excellent stewardship
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building and presentational skills with an ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
Deadline: 2nd April 2024
Salary: £43,500 - £45,000
Location: London – Hybrid working with 2 days per week in offices
Working pattern: Full-time, permanent
