Your Role: Lead our fundraising efforts, focusing on individual giving, trusts and foundations, and legacies. Manage and mentor our Regional Fundraiser while shaping and growing our fundraising function over time.
What We're Looking For:
Proven success in fundraising, with a focus on individual giving, trusts and foundations, and legacies.
Experience in working with a donor database to profile, analyse and manage donor records to optimise fundraising initiatives. (Children Today uses Donorfy)
Strong strategic planning skills to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.
Excellent communication skills for effective donor engagement and stakeholder management.
Experience in leading and managing fundraising staff.
Strong project management/organisational skills to manage multiple activities.
A genuine passion for our mission and values.
Willingness to travel to maximise fundraising opportunities and work collegiately at the charity’s Chester HQ where appropriate.
Versatility, initiative, and a collaborative spirit.
What You'll Do:
Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies.
Lead and manage our Regional Fundraiser and engage other staff in supporting fundraising as appropriate.
Develop and oversee individual giving programs, campaigns, and activities.
Research, identify, and apply for grants from trusts and foundations.
Cultivate relationships with individual donors, supporters, and potential major donors.
Act as a generalist in all areas of fundraising, providing support for various initiatives.
Manage and report on the fundraising activities and budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Stay connected with the sector, keeping abreast of developments, fundraising trends, and best practices to ensure current knowledge and keep the organisation up to date.
Work collegiately, engaging and taking the wider organisation team with you in supporting the fundraising objectives.
