This is a vital role for a well established and growing business. You will ensure all incoming and outgoing Services and Parts are booked in and distributed amongst the mechanics and fabricators, ensure that all maintenance and vehicle repairs on commercial vehicles are carried out to the highest standard, in line with legislative requirement.
· Managing a team of 10 mechanics and fabricators, allocating and distributing work throughout the team.
· Ensuring work on all defects and servicing is prioritised and scheduled.
Ordering parts, spares and equipment
· Liaising with suppliers to get the best deals on parts.
· Keeping up to date records on vehicles, including inspection records, defect notes and other related documentation.
Key skills and experience needed to become our Workshop Controller:
· You must be organised and able to prioritise workloads.
· Have good written and verbal communication skills.
· You must have some supervisory experience.
· You must have some HGV mechanical knowledge and experience.
