You'll lead and schedule our programmes of work, managing our inhouse teams (who are shortly moving back inhouse) as well as contractors to deliver high quality and compliant homes for our customers, delivering on our customer promise. Key priorities as Maintenance Manager ? Gas and Electrical Compliance
- Developing and leading our Gas and Electrical teams to deliver right first-time, high-quality servicing, repairs and installations on our properties (responsive and voids).
- Managing teams, subcontractor and supplier performance, delivering against legislative requirements, KPI?s and ensuring commercially driven and compliant services.
- As responsible person, ensuring duty holders fulfil their duties with Gas Safe and Electrical registrations and legislation.
- Providing accurate forecasting and budgetary control to ensure your team are working commercially and have a genuine understanding of how they provide cost effective and value for money services.
- Data management, reporting and using your creative spark (alongside your team) to drive service innovation and continuous improvement.

You have
- Extensive experience in both Gas and Electrical compliance, working within a housing and maintenance environment.
- Experience of keeping programmes of work on track, to time and budget through brilliant collaboration and communication. You can confidently interpret and challenge contracts, use data and insights to identify trends and drive performance.
- Extensive operational experience in managing internal teams and subcontractors.
- A relevant qualification in an electrical or gas discipline, with an in-depth knowledge and experience of Gas and Electrical safety and compliance works. You?ll also have a relevant Health and Safety qualification with experience in managing the Health and Safety of direct teams and sub-contractors, including CDM regulations and all compliance regulations related to Gas and Electrical activities.
- You?ll have a track record of successfully maintaining budgets, analysing trends, providing value for money and displaying commercial acumen.

Job details
- Full time, 37.5 hpw Monday to Friday, flexible working hours (we?re open to agreeing a work pattern with you). If you need to nip out to walk the dog or do the school run, we?re ok with that too!
- Hybrid working, from home and our office which is currently in Maryport (we are currently sourcing a new depot which will be in a commutable location) and supporting our teams who are working in our properties across Copeland and Allendale.
- Able to use technology, for monitoring progress of works, budget management and ensuring compliance records and certifications are effectively stored and maintained. You?ll get a surface pro and mobile.
- A full current driving licence and access to your own vehicle. We?ll pay your mileage.
- Have a basic DBS Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service which we will pay for.
