General Classroom Assistant

Veritas Education are currently seeking a General Classroom Assistant to work either on a full time/part time or day to day basis in Primary Schools across North Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team and make a positive impact on the education of young students.

Position:General Classroom Assistant
Location: North Yorkshire
Contract Type: Full time/Part time/Day to Day
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until the end of the academic year
Salary: £80-£90 per day

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Teacher: Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
• Supervise Students: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during class and other school activities.
• Individual Support: Provide assistance to students who may require additional help.
• Manage Resources: Help organise and manage classroom materials and resources.
• Maintain a Positive Learning Environment: Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Communicate with Parents: Share relevant information with parents and caregivers when necessary.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience working in an educational setting is beneficial.
• Qualifications: A relevant educational qualification or a willingness to undertake training as required.
• DBS Check: A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the ability to obtain one.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators.
