We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work as a General Duties Porter to undertake departmental relocations and offices moves. Moving furniture, furnishings, equipment and personal belongings; disposing of furniture, hazardous and confidential waste through the correct channels and interpret layout plans. Set up of general teaching areas, rooms and other locations across campus for lectures, conferences, banquets, student events and various ad hoc uses.
This includes laying flooring and the safe set up of staging, display boards, tables and chairs to drawn plans; safe take down of event and removal of any remaining waste working in line with safe working policies and procedures.
Driving a van is essential to the carrying out the above duties.
The successful post holder will carry out tasks either as a team or individually and be able to make unsupervised decisions based on health, safety, fire and environmental regulations. To carry out all other duties commensurate with the grade.
