Exciting full time opportunity for an individual with a passion for farm animals has arisen caring for a range of domestic animals kept as pets in a private facility near Windsor, Bucks-Berks border.
THE ROLE
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Alpaca, Sheep, Cattle, Goats, Rabbits, Turkeys and other domesticated species kept as pets by the owners.
Duties:
- Follow strict guidelines to maintain the cleanliness of all our farm areas to the highest standards including cleaning and disinfecting animal accommodation, food preparation areas, and all outside areas
- Carry out daily health checks and report any issues to the farm supervisor.
- Handling of a range of farm species
- Manage your time to ensure all tasks are completed to agreed time scales.
- Liaising with the other staff, providing a daily hand-over.
- Follow instructions - certain animals may have specific requirements.
- Equipment is to be kept clean as possible and all equipment maintained to a high standard.
- Maintaining high levels of animal welfare and safety.
- Most importantly love, empathy and care as standard.
- Full UK driving licence required

PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will be reliable, upbeat and in good shape with an eye for detail.
You are able to take responsibility for your time, ensuring you complete given tasks in a timely manner.
You will be proactive, comfortable handling a range of farm animals and have good common sense.
You will be a good communicator and provided regular feedback for management.
You will be happy to take on a range of tasks including mucking out, poo picking, cleaning and helping with feeds and meds.
You like working with people as much as our animals and being part of a team.
You are a person who takes initiative to help support senior members of the team.
SKILLS
- Experience working in a children's farm environment with a range of different breeds would be advantageous as our farm animals are pets.
