General Foreman

Position: General Foreman - Kier Transportation, Rail

Location: Oxford Station

Business Area: Kier Transportation, Rail

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

What will your responsibilities be?:

As a General Foreman within the Kier Transportation team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the enhancement of the rail corridor between Didcot (to the south) and Banbury, Leamington, and Birmingham (to the north) as part of the Oxford Station project. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering work packages to agreed programmes and liaising with operational delivery teams.
• Overseeing the coordination of operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers in your section of works in a planned and controlled manner to ensure efficiency and minimize costs.
• Implementing safe systems of work for site activities, maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and welfare.
• Safely delivering the project on time, within budget, and achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Identifying and managing project risks through effective mitigation measures during the construction period.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Experience in a similar role within the highways and rail sector.
• Essential certifications including SMSTS, First Aid, PTS, and CSCS.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety practices.
