The Swan is a charming traditional country pub nestled in the heart of Lyndhurst, the "Capital of the New Forest”.
Located on Swan Green, The Swan is a family and dog-friendly destination food pub renowned for its warm hospitality and delightful culinary offerings.
Situated in the picturesque New Forest National Park in Hampshire, , we caters to both locals of Lyndhurst and the tourists exploring the park.
We take pride in being nominated for the best dog pub in the UK and boast a large beer garden, as well as welcoming restaurant and bar.
Our extensive menu features hearty pub classics, delectable Sunday roasts, delightful Afternoon Tea, and a fantastic range of local ales, gins, and spirits.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic General Manager who shares our passion for food, people, and community.
The ideal General Manager will have experience in managing a food-focused pub, especially in handling high volumes, and possess a deep understanding of seasonal variations in trading patterns.
As our General Manager, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and tourists, overseeing daily operations, leading a well-trained team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high-quality food and drink standards.
Additionally, you will be instrumental in organising and promoting a variety of events, from live music nights to our weekly pub quizzes, creating a vibrant atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more.
Your adaptability and strategic mindset will be key as you navigate the challenges of our seasonal site, making necessary adjustments to staffing levels to meet the ever-changing demands of both locals and tourists.
