General Manager

Majorly backed Manufacturer in Worthing are currently looking for a General Manager to lead the business for a 12 month period on a fixed term contract. With the business in a strong place & supplying into leading OEMs in their market; you will be responsible for the continuing improvement of the business whilst managing direct reports In Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, HR, HSE & Finance. Reporting into the Directors; the General Manager you will be a strong communicator and will be a key advocate for Engagement with internal stakeholders, the workforce & any external stakeholders. You will be a key ambassador for Quality, Health & safety, Your People, Cost & Delivery. Role: General Manager (12 month Fixed Term Contract) Salary: up to £120,000 (depending on experience) car allowance bonus Location: West Sussex Key Responsibilities for the General Manager: Ensuring that all areas of the business are delivering on time & on budget Driving Health & Safety and working with HSE to develop a strong culture on site Leading the organisation on its Lean Journey. You will be a key player in continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency Providing overall direction in terms of cost effective operations & planning Assuring the continuing Quality of products Improving the performance of all of your direct reports as strong communication with them Ensuring that Sales & Customer Services are delivering the best experience for the customerKey Requirements for the General Manager: Tangible record of Success in an Operational/Senior Management role in a Manufacturing environment Qualification in Engineering (Degree, HNC, HND) Strong lean toolbox - strong understanding and ability to drive Continuous Improvement activity. Demonstrating a history achieving profit and business growth through effective planning, cost control & full P&L Leadership Strong communication skills is key; forging strong relationship with the headcount at the businessThis is a great chance for the right General Manager to help a massively backed business to continue its journey for a 12 month period.
