We have a fanatstic opportunity at Kingscote Estate & Vineyard for a pssionate driven managent professional to join our team here at MDVC UK , someone keen to make their mark and be a key part of the continued success and growth of the business.

MDCV UK has a vision to bring the finest English and Proven??al wines to the UK market. We have a long history of producing award–winning Provence Rosé and English Sparkling Wines, with an extensive infrastructure, both in France and the UK. We will be the largest producer of wine in each of these regions by 2027, with a combined production of over 10 million bottles annually.

Our French estates span over 1000 acres and are already established in many global markets, with sales of over 6 million bottles. In the UK, we are establishing the largest single vineyard site, based in Kent, and plan to be in full production from 2024.

General Manager Key responsibilities:

• Full accountability for the effective delivery of people, guest experience, sales, profit, operational standards, and Health & Safety
• Full P&L accountability for the site
• Growing visitor numbers in line with budget and increasing awareness of the site in the local area and wider county
• Scheduling staff members to ensure appropriate coverage during operating hours
• A focus on maximising revenue and profitability whilst ensuring the highest possible level of the guest experience
• Maximise all sales opportunities in the business, including quality of food and drink service and availability; have an understanding of all promotions and point–of–sale requirements and work with the team
• Listing and partnering our wines with other local businesses to create local awareness
• Leading and inspiring the performance and engagement of your teams
• Leading by example and being a cultural ambassador for the Kingscote Estate
• Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner

General Manager Requirements:

• Strong people skills.
• Experience with Wine or wine sales desirable
• WSET2 qualification
• Previous experience and General Manager or Operations Manager in the hospitality industry
• Previous experience in a leadership role within the food service industry, such as a restaurant or hotel setting
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, bartending, and kitchen operations
• Restaurant / hospitality experience is essential.
• Proven track record of leading teams to success
• Computer literacy excel, powerpoint, word etc
