SalaryWCC Group is a growing Civils, specialist rope access and confined space company, operating in the West Coast of Scotland. Our Civils team carry out the following types of work:
Groundwork; drainage and ducting, concrete, excavations, minor demolitions, facility maintenance, etc
Security fencing works; fence panel repairs, installations, razorwire repairs etc.
Ground maintenance; scrub and vegetation clearance, tree removal, culvert/drainage clearing, chemical spraying.
WCC group are seeking new team members to join our civils team as general/semi-skilled operatives as we are experiencing rapid growth within this area of our operations. Your role will vary day-to-day.
Working away from home may occasionally be required, expenses are paid for when working away.
Responsibilities
- Carry out work promptly and safely.
- Comply with company health, safety and environmental standards.
- Ensure that all incidents and near misses are reported.
- Assist the skilled technicians with general labouring duties & site preparation and general works.
- Movement of machinery and materials/ Use of hand and power tools.
Qualifications
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Required
- Must already hold, or be willing to undergo the Security Clearance, (SC), process.
- Abrasive Wheel training.
- CSCS/ or NPORS card.
Desired
- Full clean driving licence.
- Chainsaw, strimmer or chipper certification would be a bonus but not necessary.
On-the-job training will be provided to ensure you are able to carry out your duties safely.
Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30 - 40 hours per week. Paid overtime is available.
Salary: £12.50 - £14.50 per hour.
Holidays: 28 days per annum.
