Job Title: Senior Business Development
Location: Guildford, Hybrid Working
Start Date: ASAP Salary: £40 - 65,000 Base Salary
Kinects client is a GIS leader supporting international development projects providing data, insight and analysis to enable evidence-based decision making in some of the world’s most fragile and complex environments. We are looking for a Senior Business Development Associate to join the Business Development team. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will support the company by bringing new business.
About your role
The primary purpose of the Senior Business Development is organising and leading Business Development efforts. This is composed of the follow activities:
1. Opportunity Monitoring: Monitor tender publication platforms and key social media channels to seek out new opportunities.
2. Client / Donor Awareness: Monitor social media, read relevant white papers, policy documents, new procurement mechanisms, academic journals, and sector-relevant journalism to provide insight into, and understand of, our clients and their strategic ambitions.
3. Lead Generation: Identify, engage and develop a network of key individuals informing on potential and existing clients / partners in our search for new opportunities. These will include FCDO, USAID, EU, other major donors and the Primary Consultancies and iNGOs delivering work to these donors.
4. Subject Matter Expert Engagement: Grow, engage, and manage technical and thematic partnerships whilst continually searching for collaboration opportunities.
5. Contribute to Tender and Proposal Generation:
• Develop the bid plan and co-ordinate the collation and formatting of material to support bids.
• Submit bids on time, to quality expectations.
• Draft white papers, past performance, and other outward facing material.
• Liaise with the Business Development team and the delivery team to understand our offerings to clients.
• Work with the Business Development Manager with contract negotiations and Scope of Work iterations.
