Job Title: Operations & Business Development Manager of Air Conditioning Company

Location: Woking, Surrey

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced business manager with strong Digital Marketing skills to lead our team and drive our business forward.

Job Summary:

As the OM (operations manager), you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our air conditioning business operations. You will play a pivotal role in setting strategic goals, managing day-to-day activities, and ensuring the company's continued growth and success. This position reports directly to the Company Director and involves working closely with the executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Vision:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a clear and compelling strategic vision for the company.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress towards strategic goals.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a diverse team of professionals, including technicians, sales, and administrative staff.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Management:
  • Assist the FD with developing and managing annual budgets, ensuring financial goals are met and expenses are controlled.
  • Assist the FD in monitoring and analyzing financial performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Drive sales initiatives, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategies to expand the customer base.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Manage digital marketing campaigns and social media platforms while continually developing the website.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, quality workmanship, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement best practices for scheduling, dispatching, and inventory management.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Service Quality:
  • Monitor and enhance customer satisfaction by maintaining a high standard of service, responsiveness, and professionalism.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure consistent and reliable HVAC solutions.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional and national regulations governing HVAC operations, licensing, and safety standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of equipment and materials.

Qualifications:

  • Evidence of progressive leadership experience in the digital marketing industry or a related field.
  • Some understanding of HVAC systems, technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Proven track record in driving business growth, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
  • Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance and safety standards.
