• Hourly Rate: £12.38 per hour
• Location: Craigavon
• Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
• Holidays: 35 days pro rata

You will work within a team providing GIS and cartographic support in the delivery of Place Shaping / Regeneration Services. Duties will include:

Support the regeneration functions of NIHE by producing:

a) lease maps; vesting maps; redevelopment maps; Board maps; flat/house sales maps

b) site surveys for land and property acquisition/sale

Editing and updating of:

a) NIHE digital land terrier system

b) NIHE grounds maintenance geographic data

Produce:

a) maps for many other NIHE departments

b) geographic data/mapping for external consultants

c) any other duties associated with the provision of a cartographic service to the Housing Executive

• Contribute to Land Asset Management to provide a digital mapping system for the Land Asset Site Identification studies and Undeveloped Land Schedule
• Maintenance of large paper based archive of OSNI maps, NIHE land terrier maps etc.

Criteria:

• Candidates must have a BTEC Higher or equivalent qualification plus one year of relevant experience.

Or

• BTEC National or equivalent qualification plus two years of relevant experience.
• Exceptionally, candidates who do not meet the qualification requirement, but who can demonstrate that they have 3 year’s relevant experience may also be considered.

Must be able to demonstrate relevant experience, for the number of years required depending on their level of qualification, in the following areas:

i.Experience of utilising GIS desktop software, preferably ArcMap 10

ii.Experience of using GIS for data capture including digitising and editing

• A full current driving licence and access to a form of transport.
• As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
