Your day to day
This is a rotating placement within our Global Corporate Affairs team, providing support and offering experience across the Corporate Responsibility, Communications, and Public Affairs agenda. Ideally you will be available from September 2024 to August 2025.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage specialised project tasks within designated timelines.
- Assist in reviewing/proof-reading copy, sustainability data and assessing trends.
- Conduct research on best practices in Corporate Responsibility and ESG Reporting.
- Provide support on the production of IHG’s annual Responsible Business Report.
- Support the Global Communications press office.
- General support work for Communications including internal, external, owner, sustainability, editorial and public affairs.
- Assist in drafting/proofing documents/internal stories/social media posts.
- Prepare weekly briefings to be shared across the wider GCA team, including with senior leaders.
What we need from you
- Completing/completed a degree in a relevant discipline (Corporate Responsibility, Business or Communications would be an advantage)
- Evidence of interest in sustainability, communities, climate change and the environment (interest in politics/current affairs would be an advantage)
- Interest in Corporate Communications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
- Audience focused with good working knowledge of different markets and awareness of cultural nuances.
