The role:
Cititec Talent has partnered with a leading Trading company, who are looking to bring a Global Data Engineering Manager into the team.
Reporting to the Head of Data Science and Engineering, the role involves aiding in the construction and enhancement of an enterprise data platform and associated applications within a trading setting. You will oversee a worldwide team of data engineers tasked with integrating, organizing, and delivering market data, commodity-linked economic data, and business-related data.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate closely with trading technology application teams.
- Engage with senior data scientists, data engineers, research analysts, and traders within a dynamic commercial setting.
- Lead and mentor an international technical team
Requirements:
- Financial market data ingestion, ETL / ELT pipeline development, data modelling, and data provisioning
- Proficiency in advanced Python & SQL
- Management in data quality
- Expert in AWS data stack
- Experience with energy and metals commodities, power generation, weather data, or shipping data is beneficial
- Experience managing Global Data/engineering teams
- Oversight and continuous improvement of an enterprise data platform constructed on AWS
- Creation of new data products and services for commercial and operational teams
