- Responsibility for day-to-day operation of global laboratories and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Project manage multiple laboratory requests from T & I group in a safe and timely manner.
- Documents observations, analyses, and interpretation of results, including technical reports of a high quality
- Review/upgrade standard operating procedures for laboratories, identifying continuous improvements.
- Maintenance of calibration and service contract records for all global laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with global application developers and assist with scientific and technological investigations for new product development projects and plant trials.
- Take guidance from technical service representatives on scientific investigations to assist with customer related complaints/queries.
- Provide scientific assistance to global film assets and global quality control laboratories where necessary.
- Educated in a science discipline, preferable chemistry, or material science and experience (preferably 5 years+) in an analytical laboratory environment.
- Good operational knowledge of a range of scientific techniques including mechanical, thermal, and spectroscopy testing. Knowledge of microscopy and surface metrology techniques is preferred.
- Ability to deploy scientific skills, with a mix of practical and analytical approaches to deliver high quality results for all laboratory requests.
