As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we are seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team and lead our Supply Chain strategy.
The Position
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the group's Supply Chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall performance of the Supply Chain function. Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive Supply Chain strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Procurement and Sourcing: Work with purchasing teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with key vendors to ensure continuity of supply and quality.
Inventory Management: Develop, and coordinate with purchasing and warehousing teams to execute, inventory management strategies to balance supply and demand, minimize excess inventory, and reduce carrying costs. Implement inventory control measures to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, sales, finance, and marketing teams, to align Supply Chain activities with business objectives and customer needs. Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and disruptions to the Supply Chain, such as supplier disruptions, transportation delays, or natural disasters. Develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of these risks on business operations.
Performance Management and Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of the Supply Chain function. Monitor and analyse KPIs regularly to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain management, with a proven track record of success in progressively responsible roles.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Supply Chain management software and systems, such as ERP systems, inventory management tools, and transportation management systems.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in Supply Chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.
Familiarity with management of various material compliance policies is a plus.
Ability to travel 20-50% (between sites and suppliers)
