About the role
As Global Sustainability Manager your focus will be on packaging and articulating our sustainability vision both internally and externally, whilst motivating the sustainability agenda through all areas of TMS by leading an extended team of Sustainability stakeholders across multiple functions.
You will be required to drive the strategy, research & development and internal and external compliance and reporting for Sustainability Globally. You will also be involved in scoping new Design / Innovation / Sourcing solution development opportunities with our key clients, responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, and providing sustainability-focussed solutions for the business.
Some of your Key responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for developing & driving the Sustainability and ESG agenda for TMS, ensuring alignment and integration with Group Sustainability Team, and applying or adapting this within at a TMS level.
- Create our ESG/sustainability guidelines/framework for the Sourcing team to implement and comply with
- Keep abreast of market & industry trends, new technologies, sustainable materials, research innovations and legal compliance developments as regards sustainability leveraging the expertise of the Category sourcing Team and Group Sustainability Team
- Work with our key clients to identify and develop additional strategic initiatives and opportunities in sustainability that provide additional commercial benefits to contracted KPIs & scope.
- Liaise across the TMS organization to enhance understanding and adoption of sustainability initiatives, educate the organization and key internal stakeholders on sustainability.
- Responsible for all reporting requirements around ESG to key internal & external groups.
- Support the TMS client services teams to track local sustainability activities.
- Analyse key sustainability performance metrics to build insight and suggest further improvements to sustainability ways of working and strategy.
- Build cross-department network/working groups so that sustainability agenda, value creation and delivery (client and internal) is part of every team’s activity.
- Deliver & manage the Collation of best practise case studies.
- Recommend improvements to global sourcing and client service teams to support continuous improvements in sustainability in the supply chain.
- Work with Central Design & Innovation Team & Central sourcing team to provide Eco rating of all POS solutions units as and when required.
About you
If you are passionate about sustainability and someone who has a fundamental understanding of sustainability within our industry, then this role could be an excellent fit for you. We’re looking for someone with proven experience and real-world examples of where they have delivered sustainability insights and actions across Retail Marketing, point of sale and packaging materials. Experience of sustainability from a Retailer, supplier or manufacturer background could be a good fit for this role, but we’re open if this isn’t an exact fit for where you’ve gained your experience!
To qualify for the role, some skills that would be essential:
- Working fluency in English.
- A passion for sustainability and a flair for energising the people around them on this mission.
- Real world examples of where you have made an impact on sustainability within business through your roles and experience.
- Experience in Sustainability packaging/brand marketing/technical sales/Sourcing/Display design & Agency.
