MONDAY - FRIDAY: 08.00 - 16.00
£11.44 PER HOUR BASIC
£15.21 PER HOUR OVERTIME AFTER 37.5 HOURS
People Solutions are looking for a Goods In Operative for our Client based in Birmingham.

Day to Day Duties
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Receiving, checking off and booking in of supplier deliveries
- Picking and packing of orders for dispatch Sortation of Stock received from suppliers and other sites
- Moving of stock by hand or with lifting equipment or machines
- Driving/operating an FLT safely and efficiently
- Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security at all times in the working environment to ensure own safety and safety of others
- Ensuring all goods are stored appropriately and in designated locations
- Loading goods for dispatch
- Input data regarding stock and inventory on to computerised system
- Carrying out stock counts as and when required
- Processing customer and supplier returns as per company procedure
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork is kept up to date, located in the relevant place and kept securely stored in line with GDPR regulations
- Ensuring that all lifting and moving of products is carried out in line with manual handling procedures
- Handling of hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
- Always Keeping work areas clean and tidy
- You may be required by your line manager or above to do other general tasks or projects that are relevant to your position
Essential Skills
- Must be able to communicate well with colleagues in other departments
- Previous warehouse, administration and customer service experience is essential
Desirable Experience
- Goods Inwards experience preferable
- PC literate with experience of the Horizon system is also preferable
What training is provided?
- Full training provided
- This will be a 360 role so you will be trained on picking & packing, administration, stock counts, client query response and operating an FLT
- This role will also progress into a supervisor position for the right individual
