An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual has become available for a temporary (maternity cover) Governance Assistant Post within North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) Headquarters. Reporting to the Governance Officer, the post will lead on the co-ordination of the NHS Adverse Events process for North HSCP and Pan-Ayrshire Mental Health Services, dealing with this information sensitively and confidentially, along with arranging and minuting a number of high-level meetings.

The role will also involve cover support for requests for information under the Freedom of Information (FOI) (Scotland) Act 2002 and provide specialist advice and expertise on these requests. The HSCP Governance Team is a team who; develop monitor and oversee the HSCP Governance and Assurance agenda. This includes FOIs; Complaints; Care Opinion; Safety Action Notices; Learning Notes; Adverse Events and Clinical and Care Governance arrangements for the Partnership. The postholder will also require to coordinate and minute complex governance meetings as part of their role and work autonomously, acting on their own initiative, whilst supporting a busy team.
