Role: Governance Executive / Administrator
Location: Holborn, Central London / Also have another office in Warwick
Format: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Benefits: Lots of benefits including a bonus discretionary at 10%, along with Employee Wellness Programmes etc.
Hybrid: 2/3 working days in office with the rest remote
The role:
To provide support to colleagues in the Governance Team that specialises in providing clients with a statutory compliance outsourcing service, maintaining clients' statutory records & registers, and providing additional advice and assistance as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Existing clients
- Preparation of Confirmation Statements for electronic filing from compliance list Communicating with clients
- Assistance in preparing of resolutions to approve annual accounts and forwarding notices to shareholders, sending out and ensuring receipt (including follow-up)
- Preparation of regular filings to Companies House and other authorities (such as the HMRC as and when required)
- Preparation of dormant Accounts
- Monitor Companies House’s filing Annual Know-your-client checks to ensure records up to date
New Clients
- Incorporation of Companies
- UK establishment registrations
- VAT registration, bank account opening, insurances (company and employee benefit)
- Change of company name; Accounting Reference Date; Registered Office Address; Company Secretarial appointment
- Setting up client data files, internal files & data
- Ensuring Money Laundering compliance, including relevant follow-up
- General Accountabilities
- Monitoring filing deadlines and ensuring compliance (including the sending of reminders) in respect of Confirmation Statements and Annual Accounts
- Maintaining our list of Registered Office clients (monthly)
- Assist with following up on:
- VAT registrations
- Bank accounts
General duties
- Filing and document maintenance in IT system (Therefore)
- Ensuring client files (statutory books) are kept neat and in order
- Assisting with ad-hoc letters, correspondence, faxes etc on behalf of clients
- Setting up disbursements, updating databases, inputting data
- Assisting with special client projects from time to time
