The RoleThese are part-time, 8 hours per week, one year posts (with the possibility of a second year if funding available) with a primary focus on developing and delivering teaching to medical students with a broader remit of supporting GP teaching across the curriculum. Teaching Fellows will also be involved in other aspects of medical education such as selection and recruitment, examining and undertaking educational research projects. As this will be a developmental post, you will be expected to complete the Newcastle University Certificate (or higher) in Medical Education. There will be financial support towards course fees and other development needs. These posts are aimed at primary care doctors who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of Medical Education. It is expected that candidates will also be working clinically as locum, salaried or partner GPs.
