Graduate Accounts Assistant

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working alongside a fantastic business in the Edlington area as they look to recruit a Graduate Finance Trainee into their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts for UK and Ireland, maintaining compliance
• Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring smooth processes
• Aid in managing corporation tax, VAT return, and CIS scheme processes, ensuring compliance
• Engage in global finance initiatives to drive organizational growth
• Gain experience in various Finance teams
• Provide precise, timely reports as requested by management
• Stay updated on financial standards and best practices
• Fulfil all assigned tasks with diligence and flexibility
• Be prepared for occasional travel with potential overnight stays

Person Specification:

• Hold GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or 5 in Maths and English
• This role would suit a graduate who can demonstrate the following experience acquired because of working during their studies or experience secured during employment
• Understanding of account principles and standards
• Computer literature to an intermediate standard with the Microsoft office suite, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
• Relevant work experience would be an advantage
• Ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and complete work accurately in a timely manner
• Energetic, positive and pro-active approach
