Job description
One of my clients, a market leading Building Surveyor are interested in a recent graduate in Building Surveying (or a similar ‘property’ degree), or a candidate who is working in Surveying/Party Wall even if they don’t have any formal qualifications.
They have experienced a recent uptick in work, and the successful candidate will be kept extremely busy working on a range of their specialities, including:
Rights of light
Party Wall Surveying
Access Agreements
Condition Scheduling
Neighbourly Liaison
Project Management
The company could also consider a more experienced Building Surveyor, with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
The job role will include (or in the case of a graduate, will grow/be supported to include):
1) Reviewing drawings and understanding what construction work is occurring.
2) Obtaining owner information from the Land Registry.
3) Producing party wall notices and awards.
4) Undertaking schedules of condition.
5) Ensuring all project information is filed and administered.
6) Option to learn right of light side in due course (with site measurement work from an earlier stage).
