Graduate Chemist

Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting new opportunity for a committed Graduate to join an international Design and Solutions Company on a permanent basis. This role requires presence in the Preston area to work on a variety of scientific projects surrounding hazardous waste and chemicals. This exciting opportunity provides the successful Chemist with the chance to collaborate with experienced, Maintenance Engineers, Site Chemists, Consultants and Chempac Engineers. Our client operates in a variety of sectors, including Water, Pharmaceutical, Oil and gas, Transport, Defence and Chemical.
Key Responsibilities:
Collecting wastes from customer sitesTo list, package and label wastes and assess drums and their contents at customer premises To pump, decant and re-drum rusty or leaking containers Conduct assessments of new enquiries and provide technical knowledge to customers/company employeesAssisting when needed at a transfer station Supervision of dangerous loads and sampling of wastes Maintain adequate stock levels of routine suppliesAccurate completion of all documentation and quick processing of all paperwork to facilitate customer expectationsOther duties as assigned by managementKey Requirements:
Must have a UK driving licenseA science-based degree ideally in ChemistryPrevious experience with hazardous wasteStrong understanding about health and safetyMust be comfortable driving a 3.5t van Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers are essentialBenefits:
