We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Civil Design Engineer to join our team in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering design and technical support for a wide range of civil and structural projects mainly within the High and Medium voltage electricity distribution and storage systems.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake engineering design in accordance with relevant standards and codes of practice, including preparation of drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Prepare tender and construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other consultants, to develop and coordinate design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
- Undertake site visits, surveys, and inspections, to gather information for project design and development.
Requirements:
- A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with a range of design software such as AutoDesk Robot, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Previous experience in civil/structural engineering design and construction is preferable .
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices.
- An interest in renewable energy, data centre, utility sector and electricity distribution and storage systems.
- Working towards chartership status with the relevant bodies (ICE/IStruct).
- Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom.
