Our clients are a growing multi-discipline practice with 5 offices across the South of England. Due to their continued success they are looking to appoint a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer in their Plymouth Office. The successful candidate will be required to act on behalf of both public and private sector clients across a complete range of projects. Limited travel will be expected to be undertaken across the region to fulfil the requirements of the role and the diverse range of work.
Your role as an Electrical Engineer will require you to work closely with the Associate to produce a high standard of design for electrical services such as LV distribution, lighting, small power, fire and security etc. using a range of software including Prodesign (Amtech), Dialux, AutoCAD and Revit.
You will need good written and verbal communication skills as you will be expected to liaise with Clients and Contractors. You will undertake your own design work which will include report and specification writing and the production of 2D drawings and 3D models.Graduate Mechanical Engineer Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering degree ideally accredited by the IET or CIBSE
- Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is an advantage
- An understanding of digital modelling software is an advantage
- An understanding of relevant design standards such as British Standards, CIBSE and BSRIA design guides an advantage
- Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- A friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach
