Salary: HC06 - HC10 (£29,047 - £50,505). (salary pay scale placing dependent on qualifications and experience: see further detaiis below)
**Graduate Engineer (MEng) starting salary HC06 (£29,047 - £32,359) OR Experienced Graduate Engineer (MEng), working towards IEng HC07 – HC08 (£32,814 -£40,258) OR Engineer (Professional Qualification at IEng or equivalent): HC09 (£41,386 - £44,790) OR Senior Engineer (Professional Qualification at CEng or equivalent): HC10 (£46,191 - £50,505).
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

JobPurpose: To work as part of a team led by the Principal Engineer to support the functions of the Roads and Infrastructure Service through the development of policy and strategy for Roads activities, ensuring winter and other seasonal activities are co-ordinated, the strategic management of key resources, managing contracts for the provision of services, representing the Roads Authority at committees, collaborating with others, managing customer enquiries and supervising staff.

Requirements
Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject relevant to roads development management.
Working towards (Graduate level) or gained (Engineer level) Professional qualification at IEng (ICE) or equivalent.
Valid driving licence. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
