We are recruiting for one of the UK’s leading Civil, Structural & Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy’'s for a Graduate Geo-environmental Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop their technical and projectmanagement skills, including providing robust technical contaminated land assessment and solutions &customer service as part of a rapidly growing team across the north.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 1 Years post grad experience in road and rail, industrial,residential, commercial and leisure developments, providing technically sound and cost effectivesolutions to Clients throughout.
- You will be required to undertake scoping and reviewing Preliminary Risk Assessments and Intrusive
- Ground investigations including understanding of currently available ground investigation, sampling and laboratory analysis techniques. An understanding of contaminated land legislation and planning regimeto provide geo-environmental ground investigation scoping and generic risk assessment. A goodunderstanding of geology, ground models and geotechnical engineering.
- Ability to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy, with awareness of structural &civil capabilities in the wider firm.
- Candidates would be expected to be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, well-informed inrespect to the most up to date contaminated land guidance and risk assessment tools. Goodcommunicator, verbal and written, commercial awareness and strong team working/interpersonal skills.
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE
- A relevant degree in Geology/Geo-environmental/Earth Sciences is essential
