Step Into Teaching are looking for Graduate Learning Support Assistants for a fantastic SEN school in Dursley offering a full time role starting in September for the 24/25 academic year.
The role is to supporting in the classroom with all students including those with Special Educational Needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who is looking to gain experience before becoming an educational psychologist/SENCO.
The Opportunity:
- Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Aspiring educational psychologists/ SEN Teachers
- 1:1 & Small Group work
- To work in one secondary school for the full 24/25 academic year.
- Dursley SEN School - GL11
- Full-time role – Monday - Friday
- ASAP and September starts available - for 24/25 academic year
- £450 - £490 per week - term time only
Key Responsibilities:
- Working alongside the class teacher to support children who need support in the classroom.
- Supporting children with an EHCP alongside the SEN team
- Leading sessions outside of the classroom with children both 1-1 and small groups
- Planning and resourcing intervention sessions
- Working alongside other professionals to assess children
- Supporting children pastorally to enable them to feel safe and secure both at school and at home.
