HOURS: 8.30am-3pm / Term-time onlyHalcyon Health and Social Care is collaborating with a delightful school located in Cheltenham and is currently in search of a dedicated Learning Support Worker/Teaching Assistant. The position entails working from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm during term time only.
Job Description:
We are seeking an individual with a genuine passion for assisting students aged 4-16 who possess special educational needs and disabilities. As a Learning Support Worker/Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching staff, contributing to the development and education of pupils, some of whom may present a diverse range of special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff to provide comprehensive support in the development and education of students.
- Work with pupils aged 4-16 who have special educational needs and disabilities.
- Offer individualized assistance to cater to the diverse needs of students, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in activities designed to enhance the overall well-being and academic progress of the students.
- Maintain effective communication with teaching staff, parents, and other stakeholders regarding the progress and challenges faced by students.
Qualifications:
- Genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
