Job Description
The business is a leading engineering solutions provider in manufacturing and project management. You'll be liaising with different departments, together with suppliers and customers. And working across different areas, for example:
- Complete process management and responsibility for the full presales stage,from the initial request for quote through to a submitted quote;
- Responsibility for the order stage, to include project managing both the supplier and customer from start to a completed delivery;
- Generating project plans and delivering timely status review meetings with customers and suppliers;
There will be plenty of challenges and problems to solve, so there is no chance of getting bored.
You'll learn about areas including project and process management.
TRAINING AND PROSPECTS
This position is pivotal to strengthening the team in a key area; plus there is investment in new technologies.
In time, as you grow into the role, there could be scope to be responsible for the department; with future management opportunities as the team grows.
You'll receive full training from the Operations Director; he has 30 years' experience in production and operations, do there is loads you can learn from him.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Your degree should be engineering related, with some kind of mechanical or manufacturing focus.
You'll need knowledge of manufacturing to understand engineering drawings and CAD data; and awareness of machining processes and material properties.
WHERE YOU'LL BE DOING IT
The office is based in Wallingford, a town to the south of Oxford; commutable from areas including Reading, Didcot, Abingdon, and High Wycombe.
