The policy, performance and partnerships team at Salford City Council is recruiting a Graduate Policy Officer. The position will provide a graduate with an opportunity to build valuable experience and skills working at an ambitious local authority and is an entry level role for graduates interested in careers in local government and public policy.The policy, performance and partnerships team supports Salford’s City Mayor, the council’s Chief Executive and wider directorates and services to achieve key strategic and policy aims. You will work with team members on policy, strategy development and project work and will develop a good understanding of the role of local government and public services more broadly.
To be successful, you will have a strong interest in policy and political matters and will possess good communication, research, and analytical skills. You will also be able to demonstrate a passion for tackling poverty and inequality.
